About this file

This specification document outlines the thermal remediation system installation and construction requirements for multiple residential and commercial properties located at former contaminated sites in a state jurisdiction. The project encompasses four primary locations: Factory Condominiums at 125 Elkenburg Street (former Belgravia site), the former Overton Property at 229 Elkenburg Street, and two residential structures at 107 and 108 Orchard Drive, plus 115 Aylworth Court. The work includes installation of a shallow dual-phase extraction system with associated well vaults and underground piping infrastructure. The contractor is responsible for verifying all existing utility locations through contact with MISS DIG utility protection service at least three days prior to construction commencement, protecting all existing infrastructure including drives, culverts, drainage structures, monitoring wells, and utilities, and restoring any damaged elements to pre-construction conditions at no additional cost to the state.

The contractor must obtain all required building, electrical, and mechanical permits and ensure compliance with applicable local, county, state, and federal codes and regulations. Critical contractor responsibilities include verification of elevation data, as topographic information provided is based on 2016 surveys and estimates, and hand-digging to confirm exact utility locations and depths. The contractor shall assume full liability for any damage to existing utilities during construction and must repair such damage using like materials in accordance with utility owner requirements. All above-ground piping is noted as "by Others," indicating coordination with other project participants. Interior building layouts are noted as approximate, requiring contractor verification of final specifications for installation planning.
