Questions and Answers- Scotia Depot Facility Upgrades
SP8000-17-R-0010
Question: Could you provide me with the budget range for this project?
Answer: The Government does not provide the budget of projects to contractors. We ask interested contractors to submit a proposal consistent with the requirement.
Question: What is the general scope of work?
Answer: There are four (4) buildings at the depot facility that will require upgrade services. Please refer to Section 1.1 Scope of Work and Section 5 Specific Task(s) of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the specific tasks required at each building.
Question: What is the construction schedule - start & finish date?
Answer: Services must be completed within 120 days of the contract award date.
Question: Is it one contract, or multiple primes?
Answer: DLA Strategic Materials intends to award one contract.
Question: What is the estimated contract Price?
Answer: The Government does not provide the budget of projects to contractors. We ask interested contractors to submit a proposal consistent with the requirement.
Question: Do you think the bid date will be extended from the original June 19th date?
Answer: At this time, we do not have a request to extend the closing date.
Question: Is there a website where we can view the bid documents at no cost? And if not, where would I be able to purchase such documents?
Answer: We cannot provide a sample of a bid document, and we do not know where or if these documents can be purchased. There is no template for the bid documents. However, offerors should create their proposal in accordance with the requirements stated in the Combined/Synopsis Solicitation documents and attachments.
Question: Regarding building 13- It calls out to replace corroded metal. Do you want cut and patch or replace the whole panel?
Answer: Corroded metal on panels and doors needs to be replaced. The contractor must provide a proposal (can be partial or total) to satisfy requirement.
Question: Regarding asbestos abatement- Who will be responsible for air monitoring, the contractor or owner?
Answer: Air monitoring for asbestos abatement is to be provided by contractor. The same sub-contractor cannot be used for abatement and air monitoring.
Question: Regarding building 12- The exterior doors, one has rust holes through the steel, will that be repaired or replaced?
Answer: Corroded metal on panels and doors needs to be replaced. The contractor must provide a proposal (can be partial or total) to satisfy requirement.
