About this file
This justification and approval document outlines a sole source procurement for a fire alarm notification system and associated equipment for the Renovate Radiation Therapy project at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. The project requires upgrading the existing Notifier fire alarm system to include new manual pull stations, horn/strobe alarms, and smoke detectors throughout the Radiation Therapy area. Market research found that only equipment from Notifier will integrate with the existing system as required by NFPA 72. The procurement will be competed through an invitation for bid on FedBizOpps indicating the brand name requirement. The anticipated cost of $19,000 for the Notifier materials is considered fair and reasonable based on competition.
