About this file
This is Addendum #3 to a Request for Quote (RFQ 26-015-JG) issued by Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) in Florida on February 18, 2026, regarding the purchase of three Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motors for chilled water air handlers. The solicitation seeks three motor replacements: two 7.5 HP, 3-phase, 460V motors with Frame size S213T and one 15 HP, 3-phase, 460V motor with Frame size S254T. Work includes removal of old variable inlet valves, installation of new static pressure sensors if needed, installation of new motors and fan/blower sheaves, and cleaning of fans/blowers. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit were scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at 1701 West Carroll Street, Kissimmee, FL 34741. The deadline for submitting questions was extended from February 17, 2026 to March 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM, and the bid submission deadline was extended from February 24, 2026 to March 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
The addendum provides clarifications including specifications for the three existing motors (15HP at 1750 RPM and two 7.5HP motors at 1745 and 1755 RPM, all with DP enclosure and CONT duty rating), confirmation that enclosures must be UL Type 1 with a required bypass, and that Siemens integration will use BACnet protocol. All work must be started and completed during non-business hours (outside M-F, 7 AM to 6 PM) to avoid operational disruptions. While KUA will accept any brand of drives and motors, Yaskawa is the preferred brand. All costs associated with the changes and clarifications outlined in the addendum are to be included in bid pricing. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum by signature and return it with their bid response.
