About this file

This is a pricing appendix for a Request for Proposals (RFP D26-039) issued by the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) for tree maintenance services across multiple districts on Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui. The appendix specifically details pricing requirements for Group G, which covers Maui Districts IV and V, including the Kekaulike-Hana-Molokai-Lanai complex areas. The scope of work encompasses three service categories: routine annual maintenance at 14 school sites totaling 1,254 trees; banyan pest treatment services for Ficus species trees categorized by trunk diameter ranging from 6.01 inches to greater than 108 inches; and additional services (emergency, urgent, and normal priority) including pruning, stump removal, and tree and stump removal for trees of varying sizes. Emergency priority work must be completed within 24 hours, while urgent priority work must be completed within three to five business days.

Offerors must provide unit prices for each service category, with all unit prices to be all-inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, permits, administrative expenses, subcontracted services, and applicable taxes including Hawaii's General Excise Tax (GET). The pricing structure requires offerors to submit a price per site for routine maintenance, unit prices by tree trunk diameter classifications for banyan pest treatment, and unit prices for pruning, stump removal, and tree and stump removal services for additional work. Blank unit prices will be interpreted as the offeror performing that service at zero cost to the State. The estimated quantities provided for banyan pest treatment and additional services are for evaluation purposes only and do not represent actual contract volumes.
