About this file

This pricing appendix is a detailed cost proposal form for Group F under RFP D26-039, issued by the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE), for tree maintenance services across Maui Districts I (Lahaina Complex), II (Baldwin Complex), and III (Maui Complex). The pricing document covers three distinct service categories: routine annual maintenance for 1,457 trees across 18 school sites; banyan pest treatment services for Ficus species trees categorized by trunk diameter ranging from 6.01 inches to greater than 108 inches; and additional services (emergency, urgent, and normal priority) including pruning, stump removal, and tree and stump removal for trees of varying sizes. Unit prices are requested on a per-tree or per-service basis, with evaluations calculated by multiplying estimated quantities by quoted unit prices. The document specifies that emergency priority work must be completed within 24 hours, urgent priority work within 3 to 5 business days, and additional services must account for variable conditions such as traffic control, access limitations, and equipment rental requirements.

All unit prices submitted must be inclusive of direct and indirect costs, materials, labor, equipment, permits, passes, incidental fees, administrative expenses, subcontracted services, and applicable taxes including Hawaii's General Excise Tax (GET). The pricing structure allows offerors to submit zero-cost proposals for any service line if desired. Estimated quantities for banyan pest treatment and additional services are provided solely for evaluation purposes and do not guarantee actual volumes. The contract requires that all unit prices represent the maximum amounts that can be quoted during the contract period, establishing price caps for services rendered. This pricing appendix represents one component of a comprehensive RFP covering multiple geographic areas (Oahu, Hawaii, and Maui) and requires offerors to demonstrate cost competitiveness across routine maintenance, specialized pest treatment, and responsive emergency services.
