About this file

This is an Insurance Indemnification Memorandum related to the Orange County Transportation Authority's (OCTA) Property Patrol Services procurement in California. The document addresses insurance and indemnification requirements for consultants responding to the RFP for property patrol services, establishing the protective framework and liability obligations that successful bidders must maintain throughout the two-year contract term valued at $295,000. The memorandum outlines the specific insurance coverage types, minimum limits, and indemnification clauses that contractors must comply with to be considered qualified for this project.

The memorandum specifies the insurance requirements and indemnity provisions that protect OCTA from liability exposure related to the property patrol services. Bidders must demonstrate adequate insurance coverage prior to contract award, with details regarding required policy limits, coverage types, and naming of OCTA as an additional insured. The indemnification language establishes the contractor's obligation to defend and hold harmless OCTA from claims, damages, and liabilities arising from the contractor's performance or negligence in executing patrol services. These requirements ensure financial accountability and risk mitigation for OCTA throughout the contract period and must be satisfied as a condition of contract award.
