About this file

Amendment Number Four to RFP 2026-0001-0248, issued by the State of Alaska's Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Division of Elections on March 26, 2026, addresses an offeror's question regarding ballot testing capabilities. The amendment clarifies that while a requirement exists to test ballots using a provided SD card, the state does not currently possess a tabulation scanner. The state acknowledges that counties and states typically conduct ballot testing independently and confirmed that it will work with the selected vendor to provide a loaner scanner as needed to facilitate this testing requirement.

This non-mandatory amendment serves as a response to vendor inquiries and does not impose additional obligations on offerors. The clarification demonstrates the state's flexibility in addressing practical implementation challenges related to ballot scanning and testing procedures for the statewide election ballot printing contract. Procurement Officer Jared Miller issued the amendment and remains the point of contact for further inquiries and communications regarding this solicitation.
