About this file
This is Amendment Number Two to RFP 2026-0001-0248 issued by the State of Alaska, Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Division of Administrative Services, dated March 20, 2026. The amendment addresses offerors' technical questions regarding the statewide election ballots printing project. The RFP seeks proposals for printing and delivery of official ballots for multiple 2026-2027 election cycles, including the August 18, 2026 Primary Election, November 3, 2026 General Election, and October 6, 2026 and October 5, 2027 Regional Educational Attendance Area (REAA) Elections. The amendment confirms that the current vendor is Print Works and provides historical pricing: General Election official ballots at $0.45 each and $0.41 for Primary Election ballots, test ballots at $1.04 and $0.92 respectively, sample ballots at $0.24 each, and folded ballots for APO at $0.11 each. A specific REAA example calculation is provided showing 21,180 ballots at $0.41 each ($8,683.80), 975 test ballots at $0.92 each ($897.00), 680 samples at $0.24 each ($163.20), and 6,175 folded ballots at $0.11 each ($679.25). The amendment clarifies that sample ballots are gummed and padded using glue compound on pads, with staples acceptable as an alternative. The proposal submission deadline is April 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM Alaska Standard Time, with a Notice of Intent to Award anticipated May 8, 2026 and contract execution targeted for May 18, 2026. The contract runs from June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028 with two optional two-year renewal terms.
The amendment serves primarily to answer offerors' questions and includes Exhibits 1 through 5 as attachments under the online posting. The estimated total budget for the entire contract period is $2,000,000.00, with all costs included in the total proposal price on a firm fixed-price basis with F.O.B. final destination to all locations within Alaska. No incumbent vendors are identified beyond the referenced Print Works historical pricing data. Procurement Officer Jared Miller can be contacted at 907.209.9583 or jared.miller@alaska.gov for questions or to register interest in receiving future amendments and communications.
