BOILER SYSTEMS REPLACEMENT - ODF TILLAMOOK FOREST CENTER

Questions and Answers:

Q 1. …. I have a question regarding the Tillamook Forestry Center boiler changeout job regarding the electrical.

In the attached plans on page M-601 it calls for single phase pumps. After the site visit we found that the existing heat exchanger pump is three phase and the existing boiler pumps are single phase.

In the plans it also calls out to provide a vfd for the pumps. VFDs or VSDs according to the spec are designed for 3 phase motors.

So my question is how should we approach this? Should we quote for all the pumps to be three phase and include VFDs? Or should we plan on replacing like for like and providing 1 VFD for only the Heat Exchanger Pump?

A 1. …. It is our (ODF)s intent to release an addendum ASAP which will clarify the stated question above.

Q 2. … I am having a hard time finding in the ITB what the scheduled time of completion is for this project. Can you please specify?
