About this file
This document is a Questions & Answers (Q&A) document for Solicitation 24-25-31 issued by the City of Santa Clara for Underground Locating & Field Marking Services. The document contains two questions submitted on 01/14/2025 related to minimum qualifications and technical specifications for the solicitation. The first question seeks clarification on whether the 5-year locating experience requirement can be broadened beyond electric utilities to include other municipal agencies. The second question requests details about the electrical power infrastructure, specifically asking about the type of distribution lines and their operating voltages.
Both questions direct respondents to review Addendum No. 6 dated 1-15-25 for comprehensive answers, indicating that additional details will be provided in a separate document. The solicitation appears to be specifically for Silicon Valley Power, the City of Santa Clara's electric utility, with 95% of the scope of work focused on electrical power locating and field marking services. The document suggests that potential bidders should carefully review the addendum and original solicitation documents to fully understand the requirements and qualifications needed to submit a competitive proposal.
