About this file
This document is Addendum 8 to Request for Proposal (RFP) #24-25-31 issued by the City of Santa Clara in California, specifically for Underground Locating and Field Marking Services for Silicon Valley Power, the city's electric utility. The RFP seeks to establish a 5-year agreement with a qualified service provider, with the primary requirement that proposers must have a minimum of five years of experience performing locating and field marking services. The addendum modifies Section 2.1 of the original RFP document to clarify the minimum qualifications for potential bidders, and emphasizes that all communications during the procurement phase must be directed to the Contracts Manager to ensure an equitable information exchange.
Notably, the solicitation requires electronic submission through BidNet Direct, with no hardcopy responses accepted. The final contract award is contingent upon the selected firm accepting the City's Exemplar Agreement. While specific pricing details are not provided in this addendum, the document represents a procedural update to the original RFP, refining the qualification standards for potential service providers and maintaining the integrity of the procurement process by establishing clear communication protocols between the City and prospective bidders.
