About this file
This document is a detailed Pay Items specification for a municipal construction project by the City of Waxahachie, outlining 44 base pay items and 5 alternate pay items for what appears to be a comprehensive park development project. The pay items cover a wide range of construction and landscaping work, including mobilization, site preparation, concrete work (sidewalks, mowstrips, curbs), fencing, irrigation systems, playground equipment, shade structures, pavilions, utility connections, landscaping, and specialized surfaces like rubberized and artificial turf. The specification provides precise measurement and payment instructions for each item, requiring detailed shop drawing submittals and City approval for most components.
The payment structure is primarily based on lump sum or per-unit pricing (square foot, linear foot, or per each), with most items requiring material submittals at least 10 days prior to ordering and City approval. The project includes both standard and alternate pay items, giving flexibility in project execution. Alternate items include options like a cantilever shade sail structure, decomposed granite trails, a trellis with gliders, a prefabricated restroom building, and utility connections. Each pay item includes comprehensive details about installation requirements, materials, and specific measurement and payment terms, indicating a meticulously planned municipal infrastructure project with significant attention to design, materials, and execution standards.
