RFP N62742-20-R-1334
FY21 MCAF P-3001/AJJY203001 APSI – STANDOFF WEAPONS COMPLEX,
MSA2, ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, GUAM
NOTE: The following questions and answers are provided for INFORMATION ONLY. The RFP remains unchanged unless it is amended in writing on a Standard Form 30.
68. Specification: Section 32 13 13.06/Pages 5 and 6/Paragraph 2.1.1.4/Table 1 Supplementary Cementitious Materials Content. In the specifications, section 32 13 13.06 under paragraph 2.1.1.4, it mentions the concrete mix must always contain one of the Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) listed in Table 1 within the range specified therein. Class N Pozzolan, Class F Fly ASH, Ultra Fine Fly Ash (UFFA) and Ultra Fine Pozzolan (UFP) are listed in the Table 1. However, Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace (GGBF) Slag is not on the list.
Please confirm if Class N Pozzolan, Class F Fly Ash, Ultra Fine Fly Ash (UFFA) and Ultra Fine Pozzolan (UFP) are the only acceptable SCMs.
ANSWER:
No, Ground Granulated Blast Furnace (GGBF) is also acceptable. Minimum Content = 40% and a Maximum Content = 50%. Specification will be revised in a forthcoming Amendment.
69. Drawing/Specifications: Drawing S-535/Sections C4 and A4 and Specifications/Section 03 45 33/Paragraph 2.2.10 Bearing Pads. On the drawing S-535, Sections C4 and A4 show the detail installation of precast double tee seating on top of concrete corbel, but it does not show any bearing pads. However, in the specifications section 03 45 33 paragraph 2.2.10 Bearing Pads, it states “submit product data for all bearing pads being used” but it does not specify the dimension of the bearing pads. Please confirm if the bearing pads need to be installed. If yes, please provide the dimensions.
ANSWER:
Yes, use of bearing pads is anticipated. Specifics of connection (such as use/type of pad and pad dimensions) are determined by precast fabricator/supplier.
70. Specifications: Section 07 57 12/Pages 1 – 11/Liquid Applied Elastomeric Silicone Roofing Coating. In the specifications, under section 07 57 12 Liquid Applied Elastomeric Silicone Roofing Coating, it does not provide the minimum Dry Film Thickness for the Liquid Applied Silicone. Please provide the minimum Dry Film Thickness.
ANSWER:
Minimum dry thickness for Liquid Applied Silicone membrane with a 20-year warranty is 36 mils. Specifications will be revised in a forthcoming Amendment
71. Drawings/Specifications: Drawing AE121 and AE140/Keynotes 170; Specifications, Section 07 57 12/Pages 1 – 11/Liquid Applied elastomeric Silicone Roofing Coating. On drawing AE121 Keynotes 170, it calls for 8” Cast-In-Place concrete roof with Fluid Applied, Fabric Reinforced Silicone Elastomeric Coating. Drawing AE140, Keynotes 170 also calls for Fluid Applied Fabric reinforced silicone elastomeric coating over 4” Cast-In-Place concrete topping roof. However, in the specifications under Section 07 57 12 Liquid Applied Elastomeric Silicone Roofing Coating, it does not mention anything regarding the Fluid Applied Fabric Reinforced Silicone Elastomeric Coating.
Please provide the specifications for the Fluid Applied Fabric Reinforced Silicone Elastomeric Coating.
ANSWER: Fabric reinforcement is not required. Keynotes on Drawings AE-121 and AE-140, and the Specification Section 07 57 12 LIQUID APPLIED ELASTOMERIC SILICONE ROOFING COATING will be revised in a forthcoming Amendment.
