For mechanical rooms, follow MCBCL Mechanical Design Guide 7.17. "Do not ventilate cold equipment rooms. Cold equipment rooms are those rooms with chilled water pumping, cooling air handlers, etc. These rooms should be unvented and with small dehumidifier. Drain condensate to floor drain or other disposal location.

Summer dew point ranges from low to high 70’s at Camp Lejeune causing condensation on equipment and piping.

Dehumidifier should be wall mounted with wheels removed and hard wired with disconnect (no pigtail with plug) to discourage theft/relocation.

Dehumidifier should be hard piped to drain to avoid drainage blockage."

Please refer to revised Part 3.

Please confirm that mechanical and electrical rooms shall be separate spaces.

Amendment

Amendment 2 removed building 115 and associated spaces, but maintained Bldg 201 as roughly 24,000sf of space. However, spaces are only programmed by room data sheets and the RFP for less than half of that. Please provide additional information and requirements on what the remainder of the building is to be used for and how it's to be programmed.

The intent is to have as much space for the open fitness floor as possible.

Amendment

Because of the change in square footage of Bldg 201 from the existing building, and the site constraints due to utilities and roads, the building is a large rectangle. With the BEAP requirements for architectural aesthetics including roof slope, this will mean the new building is likely to be a large box with a 20’ roof height on it. Please confirm that strict compliance with the RFP and BEAP language is required.

Provide options to evaluate in the CDW. The options must take into consideration and be an acceptable compromise of the criteria to take into consideration such as the BEAP, Precedent, Adjacent Structures, etc.

NA D40 NA Please provide proper hydrant flow test data for building 201 in accordance with NFPA 291 for bidding purposes. We understand the successful contractor will conduct a new flow test on award; however, flow test data is needed to bid the project to ensure that a fire pump is not needed and to estimate sizes of sprinkler piping.
