About this file

This document package includes a federal construction specification section and a related federal contract solicitation. The construction specification section outlines requirements for plumbing, general purpose systems at a naval shipyard, including low pressure compressed air piping, valves, hangers, sleeves, and testing. The federal contract solicitation seeks design-build construction proposals for a military construction project to modernize Dry Dock 4, Pier 3, and associated electrical systems at Naval Base Kitsap in Puget Sound, Washington. The project includes constructing new electrical substations and altering existing distribution systems. The estimated contract value is between $25-100 million. Proposals are due using lowest-priced, technically acceptable source selection. The North American Industry Classification code is 237130 and annual size standard is $39.5 million. A subcontracting plan is required.
