About this file
This document contains an encountered waste summary sheet and federal contract opportunity solicitation for a construction project at Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, Washington. The construction project involves modernizing Dry Dock 4 and Pier 3, including building new electrical substations, altering electrical distribution systems, enclosing utility galleries, and repairing piles. The encountered waste summary sheet identifies various types of waste that may be encountered during the project such as contaminated soil, electrical transformers containing PCBs, asbestos debris and components. The federal contract opportunity solicitation provides additional details about the project and procurement. Specifically, the solicitation is for a design-bid-build construction contract with an estimated value between $25-100 million to be awarded using lowest-priced technically acceptable procedures. The North American Industry Classification for this opportunity is 237130.

* Quantities of Paint Removal Waste are dependent on what materials the Contractor will disturb for this project and what percentage of total waste is actually hazardous metals-containing paint. This will be determined via TCLP testing. The total waste stream quantity and actual percentages of hazardous metals-containing and non-hazardous metals-containing building materials will be determined by the Contractor.
