About this file

This is an Asbestos Inspection Report for Building HP55 at MCB Camp Lejeune, dated November 4, 2025. The building, constructed in 1976 and occupied by Base Exchange Quarters (BEQ), received a hazard ranking of 0/BLUE with no asbestos-containing materials (ACM) identified during the initial inspection. No further action is required. The Asbestos Program Manager can be contacted at 910-451-5837 for additional information.

The report documents that although no friable or non-friable ACM was found in current database records, eleven material types were tested and confirmed negative for asbestos content during sampling conducted on June 28, 2006. These materials included textured ceiling materials, white and tan floor tiles with adhesive, base cove/mastic, wallboard, pipe insulation, window caulking, and miscellaneous sealants located throughout various rooms and mechanical areas of the building. All 32 samples collected across multiple locations tested negative for chrysotile, amosite, and other asbestos compounds (0% across all categories). The report emphasizes that building occupants should avoid disturbance of any materials, report any damage or changes in condition, and that the Camp Lejeune Asbestos Program Manager maintains a copy of the complete survey for the building.
