About this file

This is an Asbestos Inspection Report for Building HP53 at MCB Camp Lejeune, dated November 4, 2025. The building, constructed in 1976 and occupied as a Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ), received a hazard ranking of 0/BLUE with no asbestos-containing materials (ACM) identified during the initial inspection. The report explicitly states that asbestos was not identified during the inspection and no further action is required.

The inspection included comprehensive sampling of 32 material samples collected on March 29, 2006, covering textured ceiling materials, drywall, floor tiles and adhesives, base cove/mastic, ceiling tiles, roofing materials, window caulking, duct sealants, plaster ceilings, and miscellaneous sealants from various locations throughout the building including dorm rooms, offices, lounges, mechanical rooms, hallways, and the attic. All tested samples showed zero percent content for chrysotile, amosite, and other asbestos fibers. The report documents that while certain materials were identified as potentially containing asbestos, they have been tested and either removed or maintained under the Camp Lejeune Asbestos Program. The Asbestos Program Manager at Camp Lejeune maintains records and can be contacted at 910-451-5837 for any reports of damage, changes in material condition, or accidental disturbance to ACM.
