Please confirm the CCD is 960 Calendar Days. This seems excessive for the project unless there will be phasing involved.

The project is not phased - however, each bid option has been estimated separately in case not all options are executed. The estimated time for construction for each phase is: [Base Bid - 12 Months], [Bid Option One - 8 months], [Bid Option Two - 6 months], [Bid Option Three - 6 months]. If more than one bid option is executed, construction times can overlap -resulting in a much shorter construction timeline than the 960 days.

6 08/05/25 4 General Requirements

In the 960 Calendar days provided for this contract, is there a breakdown of how many calendar days are required for the base bid and each option bid?

The estimated time for construction for each phase is: [Base Bid - 12 Months], [Bid Option One - 8 months], [Bid Option Two - 6 months], [Bid Option Three - 6 months]. If more than one bid option is executed, construction times can overlap -resulting in a much shorter construction timeline than the 960 days.

In review of the plans for the acoustic ceiling scope of work we have discovered several discrepancies. The freight elevator will be available to the Contractor for the full duration of the project.

16 08/06/25

Is the galley to remain open in any capacity for patrons during the construction period?

No - Galley will not be left open to patrons during the construction period. However, a portion of the "jungle room" currently acts as a means of egress for building patrons. When possible, this exit egress path must remain open.

During times of construction, where this pathway is obstructed and not passable, contractor will be required to block off space and provide directional signage that directs 6th floor building inhabitants to the next available exit. Signage must clearly state that the exit is closed.

Spec Section 05 12 00 - 1.3 requires the steel framing to be accomplished by AISC certified fabricators and erectors. The steel work on this project is of low complexity and does not seem to warrant AISC certification. Will the government consider relaxing this requirement?

For this project, government is requiring that the steel framing be accomplished by AISC certified fabricators and erectors. Government will not relax the requirement for the Cole's Bistro Renovation.

21 08/06/25

Dwg AE402 requires the contractor to install the government owned equipment .

Will the equipment be delivered by the government’s equipment vendor to the room in which it is to be installed? If not, at what location will the contractor take possession of the equipment.

The equipment is currently located in the galley space. It will have to be moved and stored in conditioned space by the contractor in the event that the contractor would like it to be removed from the space.
