1. Ref Q&A #2 - Will the contractor be allowed to repackage the equipment into smaller/shorter contract furnished racks?
Contractor may provide shorter rack configurations that supports the operation of the telemetry system.
2. Ref Q&A #39 L & S band antenna dimensions - Outline drawings (with dimensions) for the antennas and pedestals are required to determine how much ground clearance is required thus what potential aircraft would be capable of accommodating these antennas.
For the TM system, the L band antenna array is 23.2 in by 30.9 in and the S band antenna array is 24.1 in by 30.9 in. They are independently mounted within a radome on the nose of the aircraft to the same pedestal with a mounting bracket that is 4 1/2" wide, 9" tall and 24 3/5" long. Drawings are not publicly releasable, but will be provided to Offerors with the RFP. The TM system also uses L band retransmission antennas mounted on the bottom of the aircraft each measuring roughly 5 inches long, by 2.5 inches tall, by 1.75 inches wide.
3. Ref Q&A #39 L & S band antenna dimensions - Are both antennas utilized on the same flight/mission or could the antennas be swapped to configure the aircraft for the specific mission requirements, i.e. share a single radome installation)?
The L and S band antennae are mounted to the same mount, and used independently.
4. Ref Q&A #72 - Past history indicates that 38,000 ft was needed twice a year. Was this also the need for Tomahawk TM per year?
This was for Tomahawk telemetry missions.
