Additional Questions and Answers

Question: We are having difficulties determining your requirements as far as the pricing goes on CDRL’S A001-A003. Can you clarify on your quote request, you would like us to break down each section as far as the cost of the reports to be submitted (ref: Box 17 and 18 in CDRL’s) or a final cost for the manufactured parts with all reports? We have finalized to cost of the sample set with the reporting in one cost fixed price, but will need to know how you would like to see the proposal.

Answer: CDRLs (CLIN 0002) are Not Separately Priced, meaning that the cost of the item will include any required CDRLs in the cost for CLIN 0001.

CDRL Box 17 will be Group IV and Box 18 will be N/C.

Question: Is it a requirement to build the sample part, which has a fairly steep cost, prior to the proposal submittal or award of the contract. Can you clarify if this is factual or is this the reference part you are using to evaluate all the potential suppliers.

Answer: The Government is using the manufacturing sample to evaluate all potential suppliers. Solicitation Section L.2.2 states that the manufacturing sample must be post marked by the closing date of the solicitation to be considered for an award. M.2.4.2 states how the Government will evaluate the manufacturing sample.
