About this file

This document contains a question and answer related to a federal solicitation for Gun Weapon System components. The manufacturing sample must be postmarked or hand delivered by the closing date and time of the solicitation to be considered for award. Questions and Answers

Q5. When is the manufacturing sample due? The drawings provided appear a little more complicated than a small hand held part.

A5. PLEASE NOTE that the Manufacturing Sample instruction is provided only to those Offerors that successfully complete the Solicitation instructions at L.2.2.1.A.

Please see the top of page 73 of the Solicitation, which states the following:

“The Manufacturing Sample MUST be postmarked by closing date and time of the Solicitation to be considered for an award.”

As pointed out in the Answer to Question 2, hand delivery is also an option, and this must also occur by the closing date and time of the Solicitation.

Also on page 73 of the Solicitation, at Section L.2.2.1.A, the Solicitation states the following:

“The requirements for the Manufacturing Proposal were developed to address the majority of the aspects of the SOW and to provide tangible insight into the Offeror’s understanding and capabilities regarding the Government’s requirements.”
