| 176 | 7/1/21 | Attachment J-1 | Long Lead Time Material | The tab below, labeled LLTM, is a list of items that have a lead time of 120 days to 600 days. Some of these items have been identified in previous questions and the Government's response was "Government concurs this material is available in the Navy stock system and is available for immediate issue.". That is all well and good TODAY. But upon issuance of an award and funding, the material may no longer be available in the stock system. The contractor recommends the Government purchase this material for the Contractors. Please note if the contract isn't awarded in September as stated in the solicitation, then the list of LLTM will grow as the number of days will be decreased between award and ship arrival. | Do not concur. The risk of this material being unavailable at time of purchase is low. | |||
| 180 | 7/13/21 | Misc | IWO JIMA QA+2 Question # 149 | The contractor has received the attachment IWO JIMA QA+2. The standard “Missing Reference” answer to question #149 is insufficient to order the correct materials required by drawing 712-8763694 pc #12 as stated in our question. It is requested that an accurate part number be called out IOT price this seal that the suggested vendor cannot identify as requested in question 149. | ||||
| There is no specific part number for 712-8763694 pc #12: Seal, Model 26, Configuration Split; MILL-RIGHT N Product Code 24610-3025; POC (Seal Manufacturer): Garlock, Klozure: 1666 Division Street Palmyra, NY 14522 (866) 556-9873 |
An available vendor for this part is Norfolk Bearing & Supply Co., Cage 8V781.
| 181 | 7/13/21 | 655-90-002 | 3.1 (ref 2.5) | In refernce 2.5 piece # F-90 identifies a Flow Switch p/n 052-7201-S16. The vendors cannot identify this part number and think it may be 052-7201-S06. Please clarify the correct part number to purchase and install for Pc F-90 | ||
| Concur. 052-7201-S06 is the correct P/N for LOM item 90 in ref 2.5 /dwg 522-8830015. A LAR will be initiated to correct the drawing. | ||||||
| 182 | 7/13/21 | RFP | 763-90-001 | Section C, Paragraph 5.5, Page 86 of 187 | Please clarify what requirements paragraph 5.5 is adding from the 8010 Manual that are not already a requirement of the listed NSIs 009-01, 009-07, 009-08 and 009-74. | As required in the RFP, Fire Prevention requirements are a compilation of the NAVSEA 8010 Manual and NSI 009-01, 009-07, 009-08, and 009-74. |
Any requirements of the 8010 Manual that are not part of the NSIs listed in Section C, Para 5.5 are the responsibility of the KTR to identify and fulfill.
| 183 | 7/16/21 | Errata 5 | Errata 5 deleted 254-11-001 & 254-12-001 and deleted partial rigging and interferences for Engine Room #1. There is no requirement for the condenser re-tubing in the contract, therefore, there is some confusion as to why the 254-10-001 item has been modified to delete only Engine Room #1 when the entire item should be deleted along with the 254-11-001 & 254-12-001 items deleted in Errata 5. If it is the Government’s intent to accomplish the re-tubing of the Main Condenser in #2 Engine Room using Government Contractors, please provide the number of days they will need on the drydock to accomplish this work, along with any required support services necessary to be furnished by the Prime. | Work item 254-10-001 remains to provide support for NNSY to repair NR1MN Condenser. |
| 184 | 7/21/21 | Various | Please find attached a list of material that has been identified as having a lead time of 20 weeks or more. Can this material be made Government furnished material? | The Government will not be making this Government Funished Material. |
| 185 | 7/21/21 | It seems that Errata 7 was supposed to cancel Item 663-80-001, as per answer to BQ 113. Do you have a status on this cancellation? | This WI is not canceled. The response BQ 113 is superceded with this response. The KTR should price the spec as written, to include all LOM items in the like-ship SIDs. |
