PPI FORM
| USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7) FY22 DSRA N00024-21-R-4490 | Contracting Officer: Elizabeth Feliciano | (202)781-1049 |
| Attachment S-3A Pre-Proposal Information (PPI) Form | Contract Specialist: Danielle Bences | (202)781-3732 |
| Contract Specialist: Katie Daniels | TBD |
| Master # | Date of Request: | Section | Work Items/CSWT # | Para. # | Page #: | Attach. # | Contractor Question | Government Response |
| 132 | 6/11/21 | Solicitation | Revised solicitation converts all work items to Options with the exception of CLINs 0001 and 0002 for availability preparation and procurement of some LLTM. |
CLINs 0003, 0005, 0008. 0009, and 0045 include hundreds of Option Items that now have an exercise date of NLT 3-DEC-21.
This is a formula for failure as it provides less than 60 days prior to ship arrival to prepare for execution of an enormous amount of work when the ship arrives on 17-JAN-22 We see no reason that Options cannot be exercised NLT 10/15/21 which might provide enough time to hire all subcontractors, order LLTM, and schedule resources to coordinate for an extremely complex availability.
Please confirm that this is the intent.
| The Government intends to exercise options as soon as feasible in the new FY based on funding availability but NLT A-45. | |||||
