Pre-Proposal Information (PPI) Form
DATE OF REQUEST: 08 August 2018SOLICITATION NO: N00024-18-R-4407
TITLE: USS SHOUP (DDG 86) FY19 DMPNAVSEA POC: Martha.Bello@navy.mil; kurt.boyles@navy.mil

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

FORWARD ALL REQUESTS TO: Martha Bello, Martha.Bello@navy.mil; and Kurt Boyles, kurt.boyles@navy.mil

ITEM NO: CONTRACTOR QUESTION 97:

USS SHOUP (DDG-86) FY19 DMP RFP issued 6/13/2018 has a due date of 8/21/2018. This current due date only allows contractors roughly ~48 planning days to prepare/provide a robust proposal. This timeline, along with receiving late breaking Q&A/Errata/Addendum, is having a negative effect on the responsiveness of the subcontractor/material vendor community who, along with the prime contract bidders, are strained by the size of this proposal and bidding timeline.

In order to afford all contractors ample time to respond to sequential changes, prepare/submit accurate proposals, and allow adequate time for subcontractor/vendor solicitations/evaluations/selections, request that the proposal due date be extended from 21 August 2018 at 3:00 pm, local time, Washington DC. to 4 September 2018 at 3:00 pm, local time, Washington DC. A 14-day proposal due date extension.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:

Amendment 0005 extended the proposal due date.

Contractor respectfully requests an extension to the current bid due date of 8/21/18 to 9/21/18. Contractor has only received 25% of the subcontractors and vendors solicited at this time and many are requiring additional time due to current work load and reduced resources during the summer months. This extension will be necessary for our continued participation in providing you with a proposal. GOVERNMENT RESPONSE:
