About this file
This document is a certification and assurance from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for a procurement of six (6) types of fully accessible body-on-chassis vans and minibuses on an annual basis. MassDOT, as the lead procuring agency, is conducting this procurement in conjunction with the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Section 5310 program, while the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) intends to use the vehicles for the Ride. The certifications cover the availability of replacement parts, compliance with federal and state requirements, the bidder's status as not being on the Comptroller General's List of Ineligible Proposers, and confirmation that the offered vehicles will meet the attached specifications.
The procurement outlines the requirement for the vehicles to have adequate horsepower for the speed, range, and terrain in which they will operate, as well as to meet the demands of all auxiliary power equipment. No other pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or sources are provided in the document.
