About this file
The document is a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Certification Regarding Lobbying for a third-party contract over $100,000. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Rail and Transit Division, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), intend to procure six (6) types of fully accessible body-on-chassis vans and minibuses on an annual basis. MassDOT is the lead procuring agency, procuring the vehicles for use in conjunction with the FTA's Section 5310 program, while the MBTA intends to use the vehicles for the Ride program.
The certification requires the contractor to disclose any federal funds used for lobbying activities related to the contract. It also requires the contractor to include this language in all subcontracts and for subcontractors to certify and disclose accordingly. Failure to comply can result in civil penalties of $10,000 to $100,000 per occurrence.
