About this file
This document is a Bidder Price Proposal for a transit vehicle procurement by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). MassDOT is the lead procuring agency and is purchasing the vehicles for use in the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5310 program, while the MBTA intends to use the vehicles for their Ride program. The procurement consists of six types of fully accessible body-on-chassis vans and minibuses, which bidders must provide pricing for. Bidders must complete and return the attachment with their proposals. The contract includes an option for price adjustments based on changes to the Producer Price Index. MassDOT reserves the right to assign its purchasing rights to a third party.
The price proposal requires bidders to provide unit pricing for each vehicle type, including options for compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane. Bidders must also provide pricing for a list of capital spare parts. Pricing must include all associated costs such as training, delivery, travel, markups, overhead, and profit. MassDOT reserves the right to request detailed cost information if only a single proposal is received.
