About this file
Amendment No. 1 to Solicitation No. 459868 provides clarifying details for a Department of Energy Office of Science procurement at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The solicitation seeks two 10,000-gallon above-ground fuel storage tanks for on-site vehicle fueling, with specific requirements including UL 142 certification and delivery to 98 Rochester St., Upton, NY 11973. Tanks will store unleaded gasoline and E-85, and must be delivered using a Fuelmaster FMU 2500 Master Unit with FMLIVE module.
Key clarifications include: tank installation is not part of the contract, rectangular tanks are acceptable, the 10,000-gallon capacity is mandatory, and lead times cannot be extended. The delivery site is a secured DOE National Laboratory with limited access through a guard booth. Vendors must provide tanks meeting UL 142 standards and include delivery in their pricing, with proposals deemed non-responsive if delivery is excluded. The solicitation requires strict adherence to the specified tank specifications and delivery requirements.
