General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
The project requirements follow below:
Replacement of an outdated fuse panel with an appropriately sized breaker subpanel. Replacement of the panel box supply wires is incidental to the panel replacement. In addition, the circuit for the upstairs lighting, and light fixtures shall be replaced. Approximately 250 feet of metal clad wire (contractor is responsible to field verify the actual length), 1 switch, 6 light fixtures, and associated appurtenances shall be incidental to the contract. Proposed wire, panel, fixtures, etc. shall follow existing counterparts’ locations and routes. In addition to the work at the warehouse, contractor shall install wire from existing Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) to 66 block in the main office (approximately 10’ run), intended to connect to the existing analog phone line run to warehouse. Contractor shall be responsible for testing line from warehouse to office 66 block to determine connection location. The contractor shall supply all materials and labor to complete the requirements described herein and any incidental work. All work shall comply with the NEC. Phone line and proposed lighting circuit shall be tested in the presence of the COR.
2.0 Background
The upstairs lighting circuit at the Greenbrier Ranger Station is served by an old fuse box. The fuse box and outdated wiring need replaced, along with the upstairs lighting circuit including lighting fixtures, wire, and switch. The wiring for the fuse box from the service/main breaker box is routed through walls sheathed by plywood. The upstairs wiring circuit feeds from the proposed sub-panel location up the inside of the wall and then routed along the exposed trusses/wall framing. Contractor to verify necessary wire gauge, and utilize metal-clad wiring at a minimum, where allowed by code.
Contractor Requirements
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Contractor shall be a licensed electrician in the state of West Virginia and maintain liability insurance. NFPA 70, NEC, IBC shall supersede any other documentation provided.
4.0 Government Furnished
Government shall furnish access to the facility during regular business hours (M-F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), as well as restroom facilities onsite. No work shall be permitted on weekends or on federal holidays without the written permission of the CO. Any government provided property shall be returned prior to payment of the final invoice.
