Statement of Work Revised 03/08/23
Project Gauley Ranger Station Electrical Improvements
General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide the following under this contract:
• All work must comply with contract plans and specifications.
• The contractor shall supply all materials and labor to install the outlets and complete all work described in the contract documents and any incidental work.
• Base Bid:
o Mobilize o Provide and install 21 new duplex power outlets including adding circuits as necessary.
o Replace a GFCI Circuit Breaker in the warehouse.
• Optional Items:
o Provide and install a 30amp circuit with a L5-30R outlet in the location indicated on the plans.
o Provide and install 2 double CAT6 data ports with corresponding CAT6 homeruns, raceways, appropriate grounding installations, and other items as necessary to comply with contract documents. Provide and Install 6 wireless access point hookups with corresponding CAT6a homeruns, raceways, grounding installations and other items as necessary to comply with contract documents.
Provide and install 1-48 port patch panel meeting contract specifications at the existing data rack. The patch panel shall be Leviton 49255-L48 or approved equal. CAT6a and CAT6 individual ports shall be installed in this panel as applicable.
• An existing 12 port patch panel may have to be moved to allow for space in the existing rack.
If so, all terminations from that panel shall be moved to the new 48 port panel.
See Section 270000 Part 3.07 of the specifications for the definition of wireless access point hookups.
Locations shall be approved by the COR.
o Provide and install a Telecommunications Main Grounding Busbar in the Data Room.
o Provide and install a surge protective device (SPD) at the panel with new circuits installed. See specification
Section 264313 for product and installation details.
General Information:
• There is access to the data rack and subpanel as show on the plans. There is access to electrical panels in the utility closet.
• The wires for the outlets and data ports shall be ran in the crawlspace, walls, or attic space.
• The wires for the wireless access point hookups shall be run in the attic and terminate in the drop ceiling.
• Installation of conduit, wire, and any other work to electrify the outlets, provide data to the ports, and provide data to the wireless access point hookups shall be incidental to the installation of the electrical outlets and data ports.
• All work shall comply with the NEC.
• All work shall be installed and tested in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Contractor shall not purchase or install any new data switches.
• The contractor shall coordinate moving the furniture with the government COR and site manager. The contractor is responsible for moving furniture as necessary for the work.
2.0 Background
The Gauley Ranger District Office on the Monongahela National Forest is in Richwood, WV. The building was built in 1991 and needs electrical upgrades.
Contractor Requirements
3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Contractor shall be a licensed electrician in the state of West Virginia and shall be insured. Contractor shall have experience with electrical renovation projects, installing electrical system/components in reduced working environments such as crawl spaces.
4.0 Government Furnished
Government shall furnish access to the facility during normal working hours. 8:00AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday (unless otherwise approved by COR), excluding Federal Holidays.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule
