About this file

This is a Living Wage Program submittal document from the City of Austin, Texas, establishing wage requirements for the Airport Window Washing & Related Services contract. The contract mandates that all contractor employees and subcontractor personnel directly assigned to the project must be compensated at a minimum living wage of $22.05 per hour. Contractors are required to submit a certification with their offer listing all employees and subcontractors assigned to the contract, including their names and job titles. Individual Employee Certifications must be provided within 30 days of contract execution and submitted annually thereafter on the contract anniversary date to verify ongoing compliance with the living wage requirement.

The contractor must maintain employment and wage records as required by the Fair Labor Standards Act and certify that all current and future employees will be paid the minimum living wage of $22.05 per hour. The City reserves the right to review employee records periodically to verify compliance. Violations of the living wage provision may result in daily wage deficiency payments to affected employees, contract termination for cause, suspension or debarment of the contractor, or legal action. Contractors must also certify that they will not retaliate against employees reporting non-compliance, and fraudulent statements on the certification can result in contract termination and possible suspension or debarment.
