About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin's Inspection and Testing of Aerial Devices and Ground Ladders solicitation (IFB 7800 MAS1013). The document outlines the City of Austin's Small Business Procurement Program, which encourages small business participation in municipal solicitations. The program is optional and participation is not required for offerors to respond to the solicitation. Eligible participants include Small Business Primes that are themselves certified small businesses and Small Business Subs that are not small businesses but subcontract with one or more certified small business subcontractors, provided that combined small business subcontracting values meet or exceed 5 percent of the total contract amount.

The City defines small businesses as entities holding recognized certifications that comply with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standard. Offerors must identify their certification name, acronym, certification number, and expiration date. The City reserves the right to request additional information to confirm certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly. Misrepresentation of certification status or subcontractor certifications may result in the withholding of available preference, disqualification from the contract if the error is deemed intentional, or contract voidance if the misrepresentation is discovered after award.
