About this file

This is a Subcontracting Plan submittal form for the City of Austin's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7800 MAS1007 REBID for OEM Parts & Repairs for Chevrolet Light and Medium Duty Vehicles. The form provides optional subcontracting opportunities for the prime contractor to identify approved subcontractors for the contract performance. The document includes sections for contractors to list subcontractor information, including vendor identification, contact details, scope of work, contract amounts, and percentages of work allocation. The form contains blank entries for up to three subcontractors, with fields for each subcontractor's name, vendor ID code, contact person, title, email, phone number, contract amount, percentage of total work, goods and services description, and relevant experience documentation.

The City of Austin's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) Procurement Program reviewed this contract and determined that no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals apply due to insufficient subcontracting opportunities and insufficient availability of certified MBE/WBE firms. However, the contractor is encouraged to utilize certified Small Business subcontractors, including MBE/WBE certified firms, whenever possible. Any subcontractors used must receive prior written approval from the City, and any substitutions of approved subcontractors require revised submittal and City approval before implementation. The form requires documentation of small business certifications for eligible subcontractors, including certifying entity, certification type acronym, certification number, and expiration date.
