About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) attachment document for the City of Austin, Texas, soliciting maintenance and repair services for air compressors and vacuum systems serving Austin Facilities Management and the Austin Convention Center. The contract requires the selected offeror to provide on-site preventative maintenance and repair services, with potential expansion to additional City of Austin locations as needed. The IFB establishes the framework for competitive bidding and outlines the technical requirements and service standards that bidders must meet to qualify for contract award. The document specifies performance expectations for response times, service quality, and equipment handling procedures necessary to maintain optimal operational functionality of the compressed air and vacuum systems across designated municipal facilities.

The solicitation establishes pricing structures based on itemized service categories and repair classifications, with compensation tied to specific maintenance tasks and emergency response calls. Bidders must demonstrate current certifications, insurance coverage, and experience with commercial-grade compressor and vacuum equipment. The contract term and renewal options are subject to satisfactory performance evaluations, with the City retaining the right to extend the agreement or add additional facility locations based on operational needs. Funding for this contract derives from the City of Austin's general operations budget allocated to facilities management, with cost allocation distributed across multiple city departments utilizing these essential utility systems.
