About this file
This Solicitation Addendum No. 1, issued by Austin Financial Services - Central Procurement for the City of Austin, modifies Invitation for Bid (IFB) 7500 JRN1042 for compressor and vacuum maintenance and repair services. The addendum extends the solicitation due date from August 6, 2026, to August 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time and replaces the original Solicitation and Contract Packet with Version 2. The scope of work encompasses preventative maintenance and emergency repair services for air compressors and vacuum systems at three initial locations: East-Sub Forensics Laboratory (812 Springdale Road), TC Technicenter (4201 Ed Bluestein), and Palmer Event Center (900 Barton Springs Road). Estimated annual requirements include nine preventative maintenance items with one to four units per item, approximately 40 hours of normal business hours repair labor, 45 hours of after-hours repair labor, and materials spend of $18,079.56. The contractor must provide 24/7 availability for critical system failures, maintain adequate inventory of common replacement parts, and submit regular maintenance reporting. The term of the contract is for 12 months with pricing adjustments thereafter subject to the Producer Price Index for Commercial Machinery Repair and Maintenance Services, capped at the index percentage change.
Pricing is submitted in fixed unit-price format with prices firm for the initial 12-month period. Local Business and Small Business preferences apply, with evaluation discounts of up to 5 percent for bids not exceeding $500,000 and 3 percent for bids between $500,000 and $50 million; these discounts apply only for evaluation purposes and do not affect the resulting contract price. The contractor must demonstrate current certifications and experience with commercial-grade compressor and vacuum equipment and assign personnel who meet the City of Austin's minimum living wage requirement of $22.05 per hour. Mandatory insurance includes Worker's Compensation, Commercial General Liability (minimum $500,000 per occurrence), and Business Automobile Liability (minimum $500,000 combined single limit), all underwritten by carriers rated A.M. Best B+VII or better and authorized in Texas. All bids must be submitted through eResponse in Austin Finance Online; hardcopy submissions will not be accepted. Award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest responsive bid or best value bid, with all offers remaining valid for 150 calendar days following the due date.
