About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to a mobile container purchase and rental contract opportunity. The form provides instructions for offerors to voluntarily identify themselves as recognized small businesses to receive procurement preference incentives. Offerors may qualify as Small Business Primes if they hold appropriate certification, or as Small Business Subs if they subcontract with certified small businesses representing at least 5 percent of the total contract value. The City of Austin recognizes certifications that comply with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards, with specific recognized certifications listed on the City's Small Business Program website.

The submittal requires offerors to select and complete one of two certification options: either confirm their own small business certification status with documentation of the certifying entity name, acronym, certification number, and expiration date, or indicate non-small business status while committing to utilize certified small business subcontractors and complete an accompanying Subcontracting Plan. The City reserves the right to verify all certification information and may request additional details from certifying entities. Misrepresentation of certification status or subcontractor qualifications may result in withholding of available preference, disqualification from the resulting contract if the error was intentional, or contract voidance if discovered after award. Participation in the Small Business Preference Program and completion of this form are optional and not required to submit an offer.
