About this file

This is a Subcontracting Plan submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Mobile Container Purchase and Rental services. The contract involves the provision and delivery of onsite storage and office units for rental and purchase, including open bay, deluxe, combination, and office units, with all necessary components delivered, installed, and ready for full use in compliance with applicable safety and regulatory standards. Use of subcontractors is optional, and contractors may request approval to use subcontractors through the designated form; however, all subcontractors must receive prior written City approval before engagement, and any changes to approved subcontractors require submission of a revised form for re-approval.

The City of Austin's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) Procurement Program review determined that no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals apply to this contract due to insufficient subcontracting opportunities and insufficient availability of MBE/WBE certified firms. However, the contractor is encouraged to use certified Small Business, including MBE/WBE subcontractors, whenever possible. The subcontracting plan template provided includes fields for documenting subcontractor details, including name, vendor identification, contact information, subcontract amount and percentage, scope of work, relevant experience, and small business certifications with certifying entity, certification type, certification number, and expiration date.
