About this file
This is a Small Business Preference submittal form issued by the City of Austin for participation in its Small Business Program, which applies to the Electric Protective Device contract opportunity. The form is optional and encourages small businesses meeting specific criteria to participate in City solicitations. The City of Austin defines small businesses as any person or corporate entity holding a recognized certification that complies with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. Offerors are not required to complete this form or participate in the program to respond to the solicitation.
The City recognizes specific certifications for determining small business status under this program, as detailed on the City of Austin's Small Business Program webpage. Offerors completing this form must provide their recognized certification details, including the certifying entity name, certification acronym, certification number, and expiration date. The City reserves the right to request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly. If the City determines that any certification information is incorrect, it may withhold available preference, and if the error is determined to be intentional, the offeror may be disqualified as non-responsible. Should an offeror be awarded the contract and misrepresentation is discovered after award, the City reserves the right to void the contract entirely.
