About this file

This is Solicitation Addendum No. 3 issued by the City of Austin Financial Services Department - Central Procurement for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 1100 CPG1005 concerning the provision of electric protective devices. The addendum extends the bid closing date from March 10, 2026, to March 24, 2026, and incorporates an updated version 4 of the solicitation details to include the addendum submittal document. The original solicitation was posted on February 16, 2026, and seeks annual procurement of electric protective devices across two categories: Category 1 specifies ten line items including CM52 network protectors in various amperage ratings (1,875 to 3,000 amps), relay submersible stack lights, arc flash reduction maintenance system kits, VaultGard sensor modules, and Class L current-limiting fuses with estimated quantities ranging from 1 to 24 units per item; Category 2 permits the City to purchase additional non-specified items available from the contractor with pricing calculated as a percentage markup over manufacturing cost.

All pricing must be all-inclusive with no separate charges for administrative fees, overhead, shipping, transportation, travel time, or fuel surcharges, and delivery shall be FOB destination via common carrier (FedEx or UPS). The City reserves the right to award a single contract based on overall low cost or multiple awards based on individual line items, categories, or other criteria deemed most advantageous. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum by returning a signed copy with their response prior to the closing date; failure to do so may constitute grounds for rejection. The solicitation includes optional preference programs for Small Business Enterprises, Local Businesses in the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area, and requires mandatory certifications regarding wage theft compliance, debarment status, conflicts of interest, and compliance with applicable Texas statutes and City ordinances. Contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including Worker's Compensation and Employers' Liability, Commercial General Liability, and Business Automobile Liability insurance at $1,000,000 per occurrence, with the City named as additional insured.
