Upon receipt, or within 24 hours, the VAR/VAL will be scanned to the Government Point of Contact (POC) reflected who will confirm the visitor’s Need-to-Know for MDA classified information and to the Security Manager within the Directorate or Program Office where the Government POC resides. Upon receipt of the VAR/VAL signed or initialed by the Government POC, it will be entered into the MDA Visitor Control Database (DIAMOND II). All VARs/VALs must be signed by the visitor’s appropriate Facility Security Officer (FSO), Personnel Security Manager, or designated representative.
MDA Huntsville Access Control Center (Security Desk), Security Operation Center personnel, will access the DIAMOND II to determine approval for the requested visit.
All Incoming VARs/VALs will be received, controlled and processed by the MDA Visitor Control located in the South Hall of the Bradford Drive Facility.
No VAR/VAL hand carried by the visitor will be accepted for access to any MDA Huntsville facility or location.
