About this file
This is a technical performance specification document for hospital water filters combined with a solicitation for installation services at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The specification requires FDA 510k Class II cleared filters with specific capabilities including 5nm porosity for ice machine/drinking/sink filters and 100nm porosity for terminal point-of-use filters, with strict bacteria, virus, and endotoxin reduction requirements and 180-day FDA clearance periods.
The associated solicitation (36C26225Q0071) is an SDVOSB set-aside seeking a contractor to install Nephros or equivalent Legionella filters in buildings 99, 213, 215, 257, and 525 across the West Los Angeles and Sepulveda campuses. The scope includes installing 904 total filters with specific installation schedules throughout the year, requiring both thermal and chemical disinfection processes. The period of performance is 02/01/2025-01/31/2025, with a firm-fixed-price contract under NAICS 238220. Quotes are due by 10am PST on January 3rd, 2025, and will be evaluated based on price, capabilities, and past performance in Legionella filter installation. RFIs are due by December 16th, 2024.
