Request for Information IV for
H9227623R0029: Body Armor 6 September 2023
Q1: What color should the Plate Carrier be?
A1: Plate carriers and helmet covers should match. Foliage/African forest green for Kenya, tan for all others
Q2: What color should the Helmet Cover be?
A2: Helmet covers should be green for the Kenya (0001, 0001AA-0001AG-0001AK) kit and tan for all others (CLINs 0002-0005 and all associated SLINs)
Q3: Does the customer have a duty exemption, and if not, will they be responsible for clearing customs/taxes in each individual country?
A3: The customer/ship to address is the U.S. Embassy in each country and they have an exemption. In any case, the Office of Security Cooperation at each embassy will resolve any issues once the equipment arrives in their respective countries.
