# Contractor Questions Government Response Date of
GOV
Response 1 It appears the existing roof structure is sloped towards the middle of the building creating a flat valley along grid C from grid 1 to 3 and 7 to 9.
Is the intent to add crickets in the valley to direct the water flow to the roof drain?
If so, can a design intent be provided?
Government does NOT intend on adding additional crickets in the valley.
6/17/2025
2 If crickets are added between grids 1 to 2 and 8 to 9, this will block off the overflow protection scuppers located at the end walls (grids 1 and 9).
Please see response to question #1. 6/17/2025
3 The center roof area between grid 3 to 7 appears to have a flat deck, is the intent for this area to receive a tapered insulation system to direct the water flow to the drain and overflow drain?
Yes the intent for this area is to receive a tapered insulation system but MUST NOT exceed the height of the parapet.
6/17/2025
4 There are 2 metal roof areas, 1 on the side of the electrical room and 1 at grid D between grids 3 and 7, are these metal roofs to remain or are they to receive a new PVC roof system as well?
The metal roofs are to remain. 6/17/2025
5 Please provide as-built drawings for the existing hydronic boiler system.
The existing system is a steam boiler system. Please see attached boiler piping diagram.
6/17/2025
6 Please provide model number for the cleaver-brooks boilers.
Please see the attached picture of the boiler numbers.
6/17/2025

Please see the attached drawings.
These are the only drawings the Government has.
6/17/20/25
8 Proposals are due June 25 with a 120 calendar days acceptance period = October 23, 2025.
The requirement for permanent heat to be operational by 15 September 2025 is not reasonable.
As per the statement of work,
2.3 PERIOD OF
PERFORMANCE
The period of performance for the construction is identified in the contract with a start date after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Permanent heat will need to
6/11/25 be operational in the building NLT 15 September 2025, or a temporary heat solution will need to be provided by the Contractor. A temporary heat plan will be submitted NLT 30 days prior to 15 September 2025 for approval
9 “Funds are not presently available for this effort.”
Certified Funds have been received at this time.
