About this file

This is a site map file (FiveMileThreeMileLineItem1Mast.kmz) in KMZ format supporting an Invitation for Bid issued by the State of Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands for the Fivemile Pasture and Three Creeks Habitat Improvement and Fuels Reduction Mastication project (JH27-107). The project scope involves mechanical thinning and mastication services across approximately 2,347 acres using wheeled or tracked mechanical mulching/shredding equipment (Bullhog) to remove standing live and dead pinyon pine and juniper trees and saplings for wildfire hazard reduction and wildlife habitat improvement. The IFB is limited to prequalified contractors on the State of Utah's current pre-approved vendor list. No mandatory site visit is required; however, bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the site to understand project conditions and requirements. Contract performance must commence as soon as possible following the prework meeting, with a hard completion deadline of April 1, 2027, which cannot be extended due to wildlife habitat timing requirements.

Pricing must be fixed through project completion with no fuel surcharges or adjustments permitted, and no government-provided materials will be supplied. A single contract award will be made to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. The State will not extend contract time, and vendors must guarantee their pricing remains firm throughout the entire project duration. The project's critical completion deadline is driven by specified wildlife habitat use restrictions that preclude any schedule modifications.
