About this file
This file contains project guidelines for the University of New Hampshire Department of Housing related to the 2026 SERC M2N Project, which involves the installation of a networked lockset system in SERC residence halls. The guidelines establish operational parameters for contractor work within occupied housing facilities, including mandatory coordination with Housing Access Control Teams (HAC) for all project activities. Work start times are restricted to 9:00 AM or later for activities within occupied rooms or buildings with significant noise generation, with outdoor work subject to Durham municipal regulations beginning at 7:00 AM. All contractors must comply with specific work end times and weekend work schedules as approved by HAC staff, and work in occupied rooms requires the presence of a Department of Housing or University staff member.
The guidelines establish requirements for contractor operations and facility usage, including mandatory removal of all project-generated waste through coordination with UNH Facilities Project Management or HAC for dumpster placement. Contractors must provide their own equipment and are prohibited from using University furniture, moving carts, or recycling bins for material transport. Building access is available through access cards upon request, with activation parameters specified by requestor, company, door locations, responsible personnel, and time parameters. Parking is the contractor's responsibility, with vendor passes available through Transportation Services. Restroom access is limited to single-use facilities coordinated through HAC, with contractors otherwise required to provide portable facilities. All contractors must display company identification through badges or logo shirts, and doors may not be propped open except during active material loading and unloading.
