About this file

The document is a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) standard Buy American Certificate provision (52.225-2) dated October 2022. It requires offerors to certify the domestic status of end products being proposed, with specific requirements for disclosing foreign-manufactured products. Offerors must indicate whether their end products are domestic or foreign, list any foreign end products with their country of origin, and specify whether foreign products exceed 55% domestic content (except for commercially available off-the-shelf or COTS items). The provision mandates separate listing of domestic end products containing critical components, with definitions for key terms provided in the associated "Buy American-Supplies" clause. The government will evaluate offers in accordance with part 25 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, focusing on the domestic content and origin of proposed products.
