Key Personnel and Qualifications (attachment)
Project Manager: Senior management position responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project and managing the expectations of the key stakeholders. BA/BS degree in science or engineering and 10 years of experience in environmental remediation including at least 5 years of experience as a project manager.
Radiation Manager / Health Physicist: Senior technical position responsible for planning and managing the execution of the radiological decontamination and decommissioning and the radiation health and safety program. BA/BS in science or engineering, training in health physics, nuclear engineering, and/or a radiological science, and 10 years of experience as a health physicist for environmental decontamination and decommissioning projects.
Radiation Safety Officer (RSO): Journeyman technical position responsible for using radiation protection procedures and controls to ensure occupational doses and doses to the public are as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) and comply with the requirements of the Contractor’s license, the Air Force’s permit, 10 CFR 20 and AFMAN 40-201. Associates Degree in science or engineering. Training in health physics, nuclear engineering, and/or a radiological science.
Completion of 40-hour RSO training. Five (5) years of experience in radiation safety including at least one previous assignment as an RSO.
Health and Safety Manager: Journeyman technical position responsible for planning and implementing the health and safety program for this project. Certification from the American
Board of Industrial Hygiene or a BA/BS in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or a related science plus five
(5) years of experience as a project health and safety manager.
Design Engineer: Senior position responsible for designing the construction elements of this project. BA/BS in an engineering discipline relevant to the technical approach proposed for
Building 690, experience applying the technical approach proposed for Building 690, a professional engineer (PE) license from the State of California or a state with a reciprocity agreement with California, and 10 years of experience in building design.
