Answer: All five overhead doors are dock height
6. Question:
I am working on providing a quote on the above subject. I was wondering if you have a soils report and seismic hazard report? Also, the slab thickness and strength would be necessary due to the seismic conditions. The primary concern is for the “Type A” system due to the weight.

7. Question:
The specks call for overhead lighng, with 3 aisles we cannot do that because they have a possible 12’ aisle, we cannot get the power across a 12’ aisle.
See the layout if they want top lighng, making only two aisles and making the unit in blue a staonary unit. The top level also has to be to the top of the uprights.
If they want the 3 aisles they will need to drop the light from above and run the lights across the aisles in the directions of the rails. If they do that they will be able to store on the top levels as show on the elevation drawing.
Is making the middle aisle staonary acceptable, or can we drop lights from the ceiling?
Answer: The lighting requirement in Appendix B sections 3.2.11.3. and 3.3. has been removed. Lighting is no longer a requirement for the mobile aisle systems. I also changed a row of the carriages to be stationary.
Attached is revised Appendix B (Rev 2) and the revised drawing showing the carriages that are now stationary.
8. Queson:
The current design for the mobile aisle system does not work do to the aisle lighng piece.
The way it is currently designed allows for a max aisle of 144+” aisle possibility.
They do not make pantographs for 144” – and if they did, they would not be solid enough to handle the cords etc. over time.
I am proposing changing out (1) of the mobile carriages in the center of the system to a stationary carriage. This would then provide a 48” aisle on one side and (2) 48” aisles on the other.
Answer: The lighting requirement in Appendix B sections 3.2.11.3. and 3.3. has been removed. Lighting is no longer a requirement for the mobile aisle systems. I also changed a row of the carriages to be stationary.
